1. Who licenses, and what

Truck GPS is a program authored by alpgameplays ("the licensor"), made of two parts that work together: the desktop bridge, which runs on the computer next to the game, and the mobile unit, the phone app that draws the map. Where this text says "the program", it covers both.

By installing, opening or using the program, you accept this license. If you do not accept it, do not use the program and uninstall it.

2. What you may do

The licensor grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and limited license to install and use the program on devices that belong to you or are under your control, for your own use, alongside a legitimate copy of American Truck Simulator or Euro Truck Simulator 2.

You may install the bridge on as many computers as you use, and the mobile unit on as many devices as you use, as long as you are the one using them.

3. What you may not do

Without the licensor's prior written authorization, you may not:

copy, publish, distribute, sell, rent, lend or sublicense the program, in whole or in part;
modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of it;
reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the program, except to the extent that applicable law grants that right despite this prohibition;
remove, hide or alter notices of authorship, trademark or license;
use it to provide a service to third parties, or embed it in another product or service;
circumvent, disable or bypass any license verification measure.

4. This program is not from SCS Software

Truck GPS is an independent program, made by a third party. It is not produced, sponsored, endorsed by or affiliated with SCS Software a.s., Google, Microsoft, or any other trademark owner mentioned.

American Truck Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and SCS Software are trademarks of their respective owners, mentioned here only to identify which games the program works with. The program does not ship with, distribute or give access to any content from those games: it reads the telemetry that the game itself publishes for external programs, on the computer of the person using it.

You need your own legitimate copy of the game. Nothing in this license gives you any right over it.

5. What the program is for, and what it is not for

Truck GPS is an entertainment accessory for a computer game. It shows, on a second screen, the position and route of the truck inside the game.

It is not a navigation system, it is not intended to guide real vehicles, people or any movement in the physical world, and it must not be used for that. The distances, streets, speed limits and maneuvers it shows belong to the game world and do not correspond to any real place.

Do not use the program, or look at the phone screen it runs on, while driving a real vehicle or operating any machine. The program was not designed, tested or certified for that use, and using it that way is prohibited by this license.

6. Personal data (LGPD)

The app uses an internet API to calculate routes, control the quota and verify subscriptions. The API receives the device identity, data from the route request in the virtual world, and account and purchase information. Google sign-in uses Firebase Authentication; purchases use Google Play and RevenueCat.

The free version of the Android app shows Google AdMob ads, which may use the device's advertising identifier. Where the law requires it, consent is requested before the first ad. The PRO subscription removes the ads. The app also sends crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics), performance measurements (Firebase Performance) and anonymous usage events (Firebase Analytics), to find freezes and slowness that nobody reports.

Pairing and telemetry between computer and phone use the local network. Preferences stay on the device. The Account screen lets you export the API data and request deletion. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription in the store.

7. Warranties

The program is provided "as is", with whatever defects it has, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

The licensor does not warrant that the program will work without interruption or error, that it will be compatible with any future version of the games, operating systems or devices, that the telemetry shown will be accurate or complete, or that it will remain available.

The program depends on things that are not under the licensor's control — the game, the SCS telemetry plugin, your local network, your computer and your phone — and any of them can make it stop working.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the licensor is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, loss of data, loss of game progress or unavailability, arising from the use of or inability to use the program.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the licensor's total liability for any claim related to the program is limited to the amount you actually paid for it in the twelve months before the event.

These limits do not exclude liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the rights that Brazilian consumer law guarantees, as non-waivable, to whoever is the final recipient of the product, including the periods for claiming product defects under the Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor). Where the law does not allow the limitation, it does not apply, and the remaining clauses stay in force.

9. Updates and changes

The licensor may publish updates, change features or discontinue the program at any time. Updates may be necessary for the program to keep working after a game update, and not every version of the program works with every version of the game.

A new version may come with a new license text. In that case the acceptance notice appears once again, and continuing to use the program depends on accepting the new text.

10. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach any of the prohibitions in clause 3. When it ends, you must stop using the program and uninstall it from all your devices.

You may end the license whenever you want by uninstalling the program.

11. Third-party components

The program embeds third-party components, which remain under their own licenses and are not relicensed by this text. The list and the corresponding notices are in the NOTICE file distributed with the program. Where a component's license conflicts with this one, the component's license prevails for that component.

12. Governing law and venue

This license is governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The courts of the user's domicile are chosen to settle disputes arising from it, when the user is a consumer; in all other cases, the courts of the licensor's domicile.

If any clause of this text is held invalid or unenforceable, the others remain in force.
