Deleting your account and data
This page explains how to request deletion of your Truck GPS account, an app developed by alpgameplays, and what happens to each type of data after the request.
How to request it
Through the app, which is the fastest way:
- open Truck GPS on your phone;
- go to the Account screen;
- tap Request account deletion and confirm.
The screen then shows the expected deletion date. Until that date arrives, the same place offers Cancel the request — it is the safety net for anyone who asked by mistake.
If you can no longer open the app or sign in to the account, write to github.com/alpgameplays from the email address of the Google account you used to sign in, saying that you want to delete your Truck GPS account. The request follows the same timeline.
The timeline
Thirty days between the request and the deletion. The period exists to give time to notice a request made by mistake; during it the account keeps working normally, and canceling the request keeps it as it was.
What is deleted
- your account and its link to the Google sign-in;
- the devices linked to the account;
- the purchase and usage-right records kept by Truck GPS;
- the history of routed kilometers used to control the daily quota.
What is kept, and for how long
Audit records — the notes that a request was made and fulfilled — are kept after deletion, without the data that identifies you. They exist to prove that the request was fulfilled and to investigate fraud and abuse.
Data that is not ours. Deleting the account here does not erase what is held by third parties: the purchase record on Google Play, your Google account data, and what Google keeps as processor of the sign-in and of the ads. Each has its own channel, listed in the privacy policy.
Data on your device. It stays on the device until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. None of it passes through us.
The subscription is not canceled along with it
Deleting the account does not cancel an active PRO subscription, and billing continues. Cancellation is done on Google Play, under Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions — only the store can do it. Cancel the subscription before requesting deletion.
